The REFORM Alliance non-profit organization that pushes for prison reform in the US holds a blackjack fundraising event every year that attracts celebrities from a wide range of industries. Founders of the group include New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, rapper Jay-Z, and Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin.
This year’s “Casino Night & Gala” once again took place at the Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City, with big names like Kevin Hart, The Weeknd, and Beyoncé all in attendance. The night featured hefty auctions, live performances, and a blackjack tournament in the Fanatics Sportsbook that carried a $1m first prize.
Jay-Z and rapper French Montana made it to the semi-finals, alongside sports journalist Taylor Rooks and NBA star Tyrese Haliburton. The event concluded with guest Andrew Ramus taking home the top prize.

Jay-Z is no stranger to gambling. The Brooklyn native is currently part of a consortium that wants to develop a casino in Times Square. He has defended the plans from criticism, saying that the project would benefit Broadway businesses rather than compete with them.
