She entered the match at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, and though she remained unbeaten on 7 runs as Gujarat Giants lost by 25 runs, she had already etched her name in the record books.
WPL Journey – How Has Sayali Satghare Performed in the Women’s Premier League?
Satghare’s WPL journey began in 2024 with the Gujarat Giants. After going unsold in the WPL 2024 auction, she was signed as a replacement for Kashvee Gautam, who had been bought for a record ₹2 crore but suffered an injury.
Satghare’s contract was worth ₹10 lakh at her base price. Interestingly, she had initially been named as an RCB net bowler before the Gujarat Giants signed her. Her debut came in the most unusual circumstances, as the first concussion substitute in WPL history, replacing D Hemalatha at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.

In WPL 2024, she played 4 matches, scoring 20 runs with a highest score of 13 against the Mumbai Indians and taking 1 wicket. Fast forward to WPL 2026. Satghare was once again a part of the RCB, but this time as a replacement in place of Ellyse Perry.
Ellyse Perry pulled out of the competition due to personal reasons. She is the all-time top scorer in WPL history. The RCB team has signed Sayali Satghare with a price tag of ₹30 lakhs. The chance to fill Ellyse Perry’s shoes was a challenge as well as an inspiration for Sayali. Ellyse Perry is actually an idol of Sayali Satghare.

In just 3 overs, she claimed 3 wickets for 27 runs with an economy rate of 9.00. Rodrigues chopped it onto the stumps.
The very next ball, Marizanne Kapp could do little about a length ball that held its line and crashed into the top of off stump. Delhi Capitals slumped to 10/4 within two overs as Satghare and Lauren Bell wreaked havoc.
